The African Programme on Aviation Data (APAD) continues to support African States in strengthening aviation data collection, reporting and analysis, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and the implementation of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).
The 2026 APAD Week brings together the 3rd APAD Panel Meeting and the 2nd Capacity-Building Workshop on Aviation Data, providing a platform for Member States to review progress, strengthen technical capacity and agree on the next steps for the implementation of APAD across the continent.
About the event
The event combines a one-day meeting of the APAD Panel with a three-day technical workshop for aviation data experts from AFCAC Member States.
Building on the recommendations adopted during the first Capacity-Building Workshop in 2025, this year's programme focuses on improving data quality, strengthening reporting practices, validating APAD tools and frameworks, and supporting Member States in meeting their ICAO and APAD reporting obligations.
The workshop combines technical presentations, practical exercises, peer learning and experience sharing, allowing participants to exchange good practices, discuss common challenges and identify practical solutions for improving aviation data management at national and regional level.
